How this tool changes learning in a way that isn't possible without technology
Slope Unit: In the first lesson on slope students will take notes on what slope is and the different forms of writing equations. Students will then take their notes and make an online study tool such as flashcards. The example I have provided is online flashcards made using quizlet.

This tool allows students to make a variety of different tools to help them study in the way that works best for them. This tool changes learning because every student can choose what works best for them. It also makes their study told available to them anywhere they have access to technology.
Slope Unit: In the second lesson students will discuss the history of slope. Students will research the definition and different formulas of slope and discuss their finding collaboratively. This will assignment will be an ongoing assignment that is done outside of the classroom for a designated period of time. Students will share their findings and their thoughts and opinions using google docs. For an example I have started a discussion page that can be shared with and edited by all class members. Students will be taught how to appropriately use the shared document.
This tool changes learning because it allows students to collaborate without having to be in the same place. They can work from anywhere they have the technology to access. I think it also allows students who normally wouldn't share out to have a voice without having to speak up.
Slope Unit: In the third lesson on slope students will be shown how to find slope from a graph and how to write an equation of a line from a graph using point-slope form and converting to slope-intercept form. Students will be given a table of values and asked take what they have learned to create a graph using technology, find the slope using slope formula, write an equation for the line in point-slope form then convert the equation to slope-intercept form. The example I used for creating a graph from given points is the grapher on diychart.com

This tool allows students to make many different types of graphs. This tool changes learning because it is more interactive and engaging then drawing a graph by hand. It allows students to quickly see their data charted in many different ways and choose an appropriate display for their data set.
Slope Unit: Students will now show what they have learned thus far about slope. Students will present a lesson they create teaching someone else how to use write an equation of a line using the slope formula, point-slope form, and slope intercept form. They may choose to make any kind of presentation. A keynote, a video, a comicstrip, a podcast, or any other kind of digital presentation they want. My example is a video created on pontoon.com.
